Is University Park on-campus housing?
University Park offers independent apartment living on the edge of campus with the security that a WVU-managed property provides.
How do I lease an apartment?
You can complete your application online and submit it electronically. The individual moving into the apartment should fill out all applicant information. There is a $50 dollar non-refundable application fee that will be billed to your student account upon submission of your application.
Are the apartments furnished?
Yes! Every apartment is fully furnished including, new premium couches and chairs, entertainment centers and bedroom furniture. All apartments have been designed specifically for college students. Spend less time moving and more time living!
Can I pick my roommates, or can you match me with a roommate?
You can do either! You are welcome to live with your friends, or we can perform a custom match with roommates. Our roommate matching process allows us to identify matches in personality types, interests and lifestyle towards a compatible living arrangement.
What does individual leases or “by-the-bed” leasing mean?
Each apartment at University Park is leased by the bed, which means that every person in the apartment has his or her own individual room and individual lease. This is great for you, because you don’t have to stress about your roommates paying their rent or bills. No matter what, you are only responsible for your individual rent.
Is University Park open to freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors?
University Park is an apartment student housing facility for undergraduate, graduate, professional, veteran, and international students. Students in their sophomore year (and above) are offered priority leasing for this community. This excludes first-time freshmen and first time transfer students with less than 29 credit hours.
What exactly is included in my rent?
At University Park, your lease is inclusive of all utilities (less worries!). Your rent automatically includes, electric, high speed Internet, cable TV, water, all furniture, emergency maintenance and security and convenient access to all of University Park’s exciting retail options!
What happens if my roommate doesn’t pay his/her rent?
With individual lease responsibility or “by-the-bed” leases, you don’t have to stress about your roommates paying their rent on time. Your roommate’s failure to pay rent will not affect your credit or lease.
Can I pay my rent with my financial aid? What about a credit card?
Yes, you can pay your rent with your financial aid or scholarships. We accept payments through your student account, making it easy and convenient for you to pay your rent.
